WHAT WE TEACH
Getwell's vision is to partner with the family in laying down a spiritual foundation that, in God's timing, will lead kids into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
We exist to help children experience their faith in three areas: Wonder, Discovery & Passion.
We focus on the Discovery of God by teaching three basic truths:
- I need to make the wise choice.
- I can trust God no matter what.
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
By following this strategy and plan, kids can discover the truth of God's word and church will become their church, not just their parent's church.
We hope you will partner with us to lay down a spiritual foundation for your kids!

THE BIGGEST STORY
We partner with parents and support you in your walk with Christ while nurturing and teaching children Biblical truths in age-appropriate ways using "The Biggest Story" curriculum. The Biggest Story is a two-year journey designed to guide Getwell Kids and their families through the Bible, from the garden of Eden to the return of Christ. Our goal is for the children to understand that the entire Bible is centered on JESUS, with every story intricately connected to the gospel message. Parents are encouraged to follow along with the videos available at The Biggest Story - For Families. Each lesson reveals the God who created the world, acted in history, and continues to be active today.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE
At Getwell Kids, we strive to teach kids the importance of following Jesus and how to live this out in their daily lives. We want kids to
experience Jesus’ love for them, as well as learn to love each other as Jesus does. We work to teach what God’s Word says and how to own their spiritual journey for themselves.
SUNDAYS
On Sundays, K-2nd meets upstairs in the Kids’ Building. Grades 3-5 meet on the hallways downstairs adjacent to Connection Place.
Power Hour - 9:30 - 10:30AM: Kids go to grade- based small groups (3rd-5th is grade- and gender-based) for community, Bible study and fun. This is their time to grow deeper in their spiritual walk with a weekly small group leader.
Kids Church - 11AM-12PM: All K-4th grade kids learn through an interactive large group environment that includes worship and games. After large group, kids rotate in groups to different rooms where they are either discussing or watching a video or doing a fun activity (games, crafts, or service projects for a community organization). Fifth graders watch the worship service live stream or attend part of worship in the FLC and take notes, and after the message, leaders review the main points. This helps prepare the students to attend worship with their parents the following year as a 6th grader.
WEDNESDAY NIGHTS (during the school year)
All K-5th graders start in the Kids Game Room downstairs at 6PM. At 6:05PM, kids rotate by grade through three stations; Bible, Games, & Missions. Pick up is at 7:15PM back in the Kids Game Room. All kids K-5th whose parent is attending a Wednesday night group or class can participate.
FX - Family Experience
Family eXperience productions (FX) are presented at 9:30 & 11AM in the kids worship room on the second Sunday of each month from September-May. Parents, grandparents and kids are invited to attend! This interactive time with families introduces the month's virtue through song, skits and video, giving families an opportunity to experience all that kids are learning each month and learn how to apply it to their lives. Make plans to join us each month! We want to partner with you to help your kids discover and embrace a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
All teachers complete appropriate applications and background checks. It is our desire for teachers to have a passion for teaching Biblical principles while helping kids discover Jesus through God's word.

SPECIAL NEEDS MINISTRY
Getwell Church is excited to have a ministry designed specifically for kids with challenges that prevent them from being able to learn in the regular classroom setting. We believe that all God's children need to have a safe environment at church where they can learn about Jesus! In addition to our Special Needs Ministry Director, Carla Respess, we have a great team of servant leaders who either work with kids with special needs outside the church or have a passion for working with them.
SENSORY ROOMS
There are two Sensory Rooms at Getwell dedicated to kids with special needs - the Nursery Ministry Sensory Room for kids birth-preschool age and the Children's Ministry Sensory Room for kids ages kindergarten to preteen.
