Sixers
Our 6th grade students (we call them Sixers!) have a special year-long curriculum tailored to the time between being a kid and being a teenager. Each week they have dedicated time to connect with friends, play games and have fun, worship and dive into our curriculum. This curriculum talks about their value as an image bearer of God, the love of God, and how to follow Him in practical ways. Their Sunday Morning Class takes a deep dive into the story of Scripture and looks at how we have a place in God’s Story too and begins to develop skills of how to read the Bible on their own.
7th-8th
Our 7th-8th grade students have dedicated time each week to connect with friends, play games and have fun, worship and hear a teaching from one of our Student Ministry Leaders. We walk through books of the Bible and connect them to their current life as a Middle Schooler. Specifically, topics like how much God loves them, how they are created with purpose for a purpose, and how they are valuable to God and to us! They discuss the message with their small group and can lean on their leaders to share what is going on in their world and seek Biblical advice. Their Sunday Morning Class looks at several core pillars of the Christian Faith and deepens their theology and understanding of what it means to be a Christian while growing in their community with their peers.
Highschool
Our 9th-12th grade students have dedicated time each week to connect with friends, play games and have fun, worship and hear a teaching from one of our Student Ministry Leaders. We walk through books of the Bible, leaning into the practical application for their daily lives and relying on the rich truth of God’s Word as our encouragement. We ask them to boldly bring their doubts, questions and struggles and seek the answers together. They discuss the message with their small group and can lean on their leaders to be a listening ear and share Biblical wisdom for the decisions they are making. Their Sunday Morning Class walks through how to read Scripture like a scholar, asking the tough questions, and how to apply Scripture like a follower, seeking to follow Christ in all that we do.
Summer Trips
Our Middle School and High School Students have a 5-day trip in the summer to be a retreat for them – time to get away, no phones, no school, no busy schedules – and spend time seeking Jesus, worshiping God and growing deeper friendships with their peers. These trips act as a celebration of all that God has done in the past year and a boost of energy as they prepare for the year ahead.
