Week 1
Discussion Questions:
When you hear the phrase “hearing God’s voice,” what comes to mind? What experiences (positive or negative) have shaped your view?
Why do you think many people assume God no longer speaks today? How does John 10:27 challenge that assumption?
Which of the three ideas stood out most to you today, and why? (God’s nature as speaking, Jesus’s expectation, or our distractions)
What are the biggest “competing voices” or distractions in your life right now? How might they affect your ability to hear God?
What would it look like, practically, to create space to listen to God this week? What might get in the way?
How do you feel about the idea that hearing God is something that can grow over time? Encouraging? Confusing? Skeptical?
